We truly believe that we have one of the best facilities of any soccer club in Durban and, once again, Redwood has been very generou in giving us so much freedom to make them our own. We want this to be a mutually beneficial relationship and area, and we will be looking for assistance as follows:

• Two new sets of mini-goals and nets. Currently, we are using old hockey goals which have worked but aren’t optimal and are also extremely heavy to move.
• A container. Currently, we are using the sports office at Redwood to store all our balls, equipment and kit. Having our own container to store everything would make life a lot easier.
• New paint machine. Currently, we use Redwood’s paint machine to mark our lines. It is over 15 years old and no longer works properly. I would love to get a new one that Redwood is also able to benefit from.
• Advertising boards along the banks of the field. A few have gone up already and this will be amazing once completed.
• Two (home and away team) custom-made steel dugouts for reserves and coaches.
• Floodlights. These will be helpful when winter comes and for the U15 and U17 squads who train later. They will also give us the ability to play evening matches/friendlies which kids would love.

We are also hoping to run coaching workshops in the holidays – not only for United Coaches, but coaches from other clubs and schools as well, which ties into our vision of being the best club for Durban and using our facilities and resources to be a blessing to others.
